New Schools Admissions Legislation: A notice to parents/guardians

The Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018 was enacted on 18/07/18.  A number of provisions came into legal effect on 3/10/18; these relate to religion, admission fees, special classes and co-operation between schools on admissions.  The remainder and the majority of the provisions are expected to come into legal effect in 2019/20 in time for the 2020/21 school year and will follow consultation with all education partners and stakeholders.

The Principal and the Board of Management of Dominican College Muckross Park  are currently reviewing the school’s Admissions Policy to ensure compliance with the new legislation.  Any changes to the Policy will be notified on this website.  In the meantime, the current Policy, which is available on this website, remains unchanged.
